AN INTERESTING LOOK

Every now and then I feel the need to step out of my comfort zone.

To put aside what I know to let myself be surprised by a face, an expression, a story yet to be imagined.

This time I chose a subject that fascinates me for its enigmatic charm. As I painted, it seemed to me that his gaze changed with each brushstroke. There is something ironic, sly... as if he already knows everything about the person observing him.

It is precisely that moment that I wanted to capture on the canvas: the moment in which his eyes meet yours and seem to whisper to you:

"I see you. I know you. I understand you."

It is not a look that judges, but that enters silently into thoughts, leaving room for the imagination. Everyone will read something different into it, and this is precisely the mystery I wanted to tell.

Changing genre, for me, also means this: testing myself, exploring new emotions and letting the work speak before me.
